Overview

Himalayan Yoga Association is organising every month 6 days yoga retreat in Rishikesh & Himalayas (chopta). Chopta is a small village in uttarakhand (India) which is also known as mini Switzerland with an altitude of 4000 meters (13000 ft) above sea level.

Chopta village is surrounded by decidious forest of pine, deodar and rhododendron is rich in flora, fauna include rare species of birds and musk deer. Chopta is also part of kedarnath wild-life sanctuary located in uttarakhand an state of india. It is also a base for trekking to tungnath (temple) & chandrashila peak.

Tungnath is the highest temple of the Lord shiva in grahwal. Where from one can see clear view of the most prominent peaks such as panchchuli (6940 m), Nanda devi (7816 m), Nilkanth kedarnath (6596 m).

Nanda devi-

Nanda devi is the second highest mountain in India and the highest located entirely with the country. It is also 23rd highest peak in the world.

The submit chandrashila peak provides a breath-taking 360 degree view which is unlike than other ordinary mountains view. During the winter months due to the snowfall chandrashila & tungnath temple are covered with snow which is the best time to experience the true beauty of nature.

Chopta is simply accessible from rishikesh by car. It takes about 5 to 6 hours to reach chopta. Morning sun-rise and chirping of birds, cool healthy breeze, hot cup of tea and rays of the sun kissing the snow leden of Himalayas present enchanting view which is absolute beauty.

1- Trek pants- 2 pairs (ignor jeans, shorts, capris, denims.

2- T-shirt- 4 pairs (2 full & 2 half sleeves).

3- sweater- 2 ( 1 fleece & 1 woolen).

4- jacket- 2 ( 1 fleece & 1 down feather).

5- Thermal wear- 1 nos.

6- Gloves- woolen & water-proof.

7- socks- (3 cotton & 2 woolen pairs).

8- warm inner- wears.

9- rain coat- 1.

10- handkerchief or towel.

11- slippers.

12- back-pack & rain cover.

13- couple of water-bottles.

14- Hiking shoes water-proof & ankle support.

15- glucose, chocolate, biscuits & nuts.

16- Personal medical kit ( if you require).

17- caps- 2 ( 1 suncap & woolen cap).

Advisory

Climatic conditions in the high altitudes vary from the Plains, take adequate time to get acclimatized to high altitude.

Pay heed to the trek leader or instructor in order to enjoy a safe & sound trekking experience.

Do not consume alcohol or any other intoxicants during the trek.

Avoid trekking during the nights.

Before under-taking the trek, consult a physician.

Carry basic medications and first-aid kit during the trek.

The trek takes place through eco-friendly zone, do not encourage littering the local sites or campsites.

Medical report of physical fitness approved by certified physician.

An advance fees will not be refundable, only in the case of emergency participants can join us on other schedules.
